The suffering for buying train tickets online is normal: Railway Minister
Railway Minister Nurul Islam Sujan has termed the suffering of online train ticketing as 'normal'. He said the suffering of getting a train ticket is not uncommon.
If 40 to 50 lakh passengers try to buy tickets together; surely, there will be a problem. The train has a seating capacity of 700, whereas the number of tickets being sold is only 350. It is difficult to handle the pressure of the people.
He made the remarks while visiting Kamlapur Railway Station on Thursday (July 15).
Regarding the maintaining of hygiene rules, instructions have been given in all the stations, he said.
